Course: Introduction to LATEX

LaTeX is the most common high-quality typesetting system used by mathematicians, scientists, engineers for the communication and publication of scientific documents.
The department of electronic systems at Aalborg University organized an introductory course to LaTeX for its 1st year students. And opened registration for IEEE sudent banch members.
Photo Contest
7-8/10, 2010 - Studenter Huset
IEEE Day is a global event held on 7-8 October 2010, an event to celebrate everywhere around the world the achievements of IEEE members.
To promote IEEE day, Aalborg University IEEE Student Branch organized the 3rd Annual Photo Contest. The contest was totally free of charge and open for all Aalborg University students.
Six teams of two to four members were given a list of pictures to be taken with their own camera. The three best teams were awarded with prizes.

IEEE SB@AAU participation in the SBC 2010

Biannually, the student activities committee of IEEE Region 8 organizes a Student Branch and GOLD (Graduates Of the Last Decade) Congress, where around 300 IEEE student branches members, gold members and young engineering professionals from all over Region 8 (Europe, MIddle East and Africa) meet.
The 2010 edition of the Student Branch and GOLD Congress will be hosted by the IEEE Student Branch Leuven, in Leuven, Belgium. IEEE Student Branch at Aalborg University participated in the Student Branch Congress, promoting Denmark and Danish culture among IEEE Region 8. ICT Summer School at Aalborg University

The ICT Summer School covered four state-of-the-art Information and Communication (ICT) topics. Where students experienced high professional outcome in a dedicated international environment along with a series of extra-curricular activities.
Aalborg University IEEE Student Branch supported the organization of the summer school and provided two technical and professional lectures:

Throw your project away (vers. 2)
June 17th, 2010, 2pm
Aalborg University Student Branch hosted the second version of the Promotional Event: Throw Your Project Away, held in Krogh Kvarteret Garden (Football Field in front of Kroghstræde 3).
Participants joined to "celebrate" the end of the semester in the Olympic way. Attendees participated in three categories: Discus throw a CD (individual) and Shot Put a Hard Drive (individual) and an athletics relay race (run and drink in teams). Material was provided by the student branch and all participants had lots of fun.
Seminar "Center for Software Defined Radio - achievements and future research activites"

On May 11 from 9.00 - 16.00 CSDR has host the seminar "Center for
Software Defined Radio - achievements and future research activites".
SDR is already a technology that is being applied in cellular and military applications, but it is still not mature compared to its potential on the mass market. SDR is also a first step in the development chain towards more intelligent and autonomous radio devices.

An enormous party with around 300 people took place in the city center of the city of Aalborg. The party was held mainly to mark the beginning of the collaboration between IEEE and ESN.
