IEEE Student Branch @ Aalborg University (AAU) was established in September 2005. Currently IEEE Student Branch @ AAU has more than 120 members.
Generally, the IEEE ("eye-triple-E"), The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., helps advance global prosperity by promoting the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electrical and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession.
Aalborg University IEEE Student Branch organizes different kind of activities for local and international engineering students. Between these events are conferences, technical and practical lectures from invited speakers, workshops, visits to industry and social events.
Aalborg University students that are also members of IEEE are automatically members of the IEEE student branch. As an IEEE student member, you recieve exclusive IEEE membership benefits at very low rates. You can also have free Microsoft software exclusively for IEEE student members.
